<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc085611.jpg" rel="lightbox[124]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-129 aligncenter" title="Inner Page" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc085611-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The pictures inside this book is very sharp. Some of the works are even photographed with a model. This would be easy for us to imagine the correct size of the final product.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">All the projects are shown at first before the diagrams. Search for the number of the project you want to do at the back for the diagrams / charts.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc085621.jpg" rel="lightbox[124]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-130 aligncenter" title="Inner Page - Diagram" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc085621-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The diagrams and charts are easy to follow, even for a beginner. Every projects in this book are using <a href="http://www.hamanaka.co.jp" target="_blank">Hamanaka</a> yarn. There&#8217;s also illustrated basic crochet techniques at the back for learning.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I would recommend this to a crochet beginner who knows Mandarin.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Kait Jarum Dua is written by Zainon Mohd Nor Al-Yunani. The knowledge of knitting is written in Bahasa Melayu for the first time. There is some tips at the beginning as text, not really informative and not really attracted to look at.<span id="more-132"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Illustrated techniques in teaching how to knit. But since this is the first time I read a BM knitting book, I have to adjust myself to understand the different abbreviations. For example :</p>
<blockquote>
<p style="text-align: left;">M.K. (Mata Kaitan) = Stitches<br />
A.K. (Awan Ketumbar) = Stockinette Stitch<br />
K. (Ketumbar) = Knit<br />
A.J. (Awan Jagung) = Garter Stitch<br />
J. (Jagung) = Purl</p></blockquote>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc08564.jpg" rel="lightbox[132]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-134 aligncenter" title="Inner Page" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc08564-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">After understand the Malay version of abbreviations, now you can start your projects. 50% of the projects in this book are for babies. The projects are easy as they only use the basic stitches, knit and purl. And there&#8217;s still description of the abbreviation in every single project.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc08565.jpg" rel="lightbox[132]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-135 aligncenter" title="Inner Page - Bunga Kaitan" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/dsc08565-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">There&#8217;s 8 &#8220;Bunga Kaitan&#8221; (Stitch pattern) at the back. Including ribs, laces and checkered pattern. A full page of the image of pattern on the left side will be helpful for you to check stitch counts.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This shouldn&#8217;t be your first book of knitting if you want to have more choices of project patterns. It would be easier if you learn knitting abbreviation in English at first. Less confusing.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Type</strong> : Learning &amp; Projects<br />
<strong>Price</strong> : RM28.00<br />
<strong>Place</strong> : Popular, Jusco Ipoh<br />
<strong>Target</strong> : Beginner</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Crochet is one of today&#8217;s most popular needlecrafts. Let Complete Crochet inspire you to make over 25 one-of-a-kind garments, accessories, home accents, and darling toys for babies and children. All of the fabulous crocheted items are explained in concise step-by-step directions and accompanied by 150+ full-color photographs, diagrams, and stitch details that will inspire beginner and veteran crocheters alike.</p>
</blockquote>
<p style="text-align: left;">The materials column even stated which brand, composition of the yarn is used in case you want to follow exactly.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09249.jpg" rel="lightbox[82]"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-83" title="Stitch library" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09249-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This is the part I love the most in this book, the Stitch Library. A glance through patterns makes it easier for beginner to choose their favorite stitch for their projects. They are even neatly categorized in All-Over Patterns, Lace Patterns, Motifs and Edgings.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">At last, the must-have crochet glossary and a list of abbreviations at the end of the book. It also have some sources for finding suppliers (in USA &amp; Canada).</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This book is (maybe) the most complete crochet book for beginners. If you hate it as not providing the video tutorials then I suggest you to visit YouTube or VideoJug. <img src='http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Well, this book is published in 1989, so don&#8217;t blame the patterns are outdated. The knitting knowledge in this book is much extensive than others that I&#8217;ve seen so far. (Hint: it has the curve shapes session)<span id="more-87"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09251.jpg" rel="lightbox[87]"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-89" title="Inner page" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09251-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This book is written by <a href="http://wwsw.librarything.com/author/swepsonruthmaria" target="_blank">Ruth Maria Swepson</a>, a well-known knitwear designer who is both a teacher and a regular contributor to the leading knitwear magazines. This book has a lot stitch patterns. Some of them are classics.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09252.jpg" rel="lightbox[87]"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-88" title="Patterns graph" src="http://knit.lifeinkl.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/dsc09252-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Diagrams and graphs are provided for easy knitting. But in my opinion, the patterns are really outdated for my age. I don&#8217;t mind purchase this book for just the teaching part as it&#8217;s much fuller than other books and its price.</p>
